When the uncovering of the cause and source of any imbalances in the body is located, it is this that is worked upon, your symptoms are naturally alleviated as the body`s balance is restored and a calming of the mind ensues.
Health wellness happiness is the focus for the whole being, Body mind and spirit.
Natural Health Therapy is a complementary therapy made up of a combination of world recognised and proven therapies that work on clearing the old past experiences or past learnings, that are not beneficial to the wellbeing of body or the health of the mind.
A necessary ingredient in clearing the illness or distress in the body is, conscious awareness of what influence your mind is having on your health.
These Therapies do give you natural health options for regaining and maintaining your health on all levels, feeling a stronger sense of vitality, vibrancy, strength and confidence, increased enthusiasm, as you become how you would like to be….free of what ails you, free of pain.
Even though we may have what is recognised as a common symptoms of disease, there are no 2 people that are the same, and `the source`, of your symptom will have its origin/s in as unique a location or locations, as you are a unique individual.
These therapies and the practices of energy medicine are safe, respectful, nurturing and nourishing to all levels of body mind and spirit, your whole being is recognised for its need of becoming free of pain and free of fear. There is no limitation to age, race or gender, it worked for all.

The A.A.S. Integrative Health Professions degree prepares you to practice in an area of integrative health such as aromatherapy, teaching yoga, massage therapy, reflexology, Reiki, and wellness coaching. You could set up your own practice or work alongside other practitioners in the integrative health and medical fields including wellness facilities, clinics, and hospitals.

This massage therapy certification program prepares students to practice as a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Colorado. Students are trained in state-of-the-art professional massage practices and therapeutic techniques, including coursework in Advanced Neuromuscular Anatomy, Kinesiology, and Pathology. Students in our Massage Therapy program will complete two clinical rotations. Upon successful completion, students will be prepared to take the national certification exam (MBLEx) through the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB) for their massage certification.

This integrative health professions certificate program supplements a health professional’s practice with knowledge of emerging integrative therapies and the overall concepts of holism and health prevention. Nurses, physical/occupational therapists, massage therapists, and others with existing medical, integrative health, or wellness-promotion backgrounds would benefit most from this certificate for professional development and/or continuing education credits.

This integrative health and wellness coaching certificate trains individuals in the core competencies of the coaching profession, including skills in relationship-building, active listening, powerful questioning, goal-setting, positive psychology, and motivational interviewing. Students will also learn about nutrition, fitness, and mindfulness. As a health and wellness coach, you will empower clients to make healthy lifestyle choices and lasting behavioral changes to optimize their health and well-being. This certificate is an approved Board Certified Transition Program under the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching.

Reflexology

This reflexology certificate program introduces students to reflexology, which is a non-invasive form of acupressure on the feet, hand, and ears that holistically facilitates opening the channels for healing energy to circulate to all parts of the body. In accordance with national credentialing and membership standards, students will have well over 300 contact hours. Successful graduates are eligible to take the national certification exam from the American Reflexology Certification Board (ARCB) and receive professional membership status with the Reflexology Association of America (RAA)

Yoga Teacher
12 credits
(1 semester)
This yoga teacher certificate program prepares students to be professional Hatha Yoga teachers in studios, health clubs, private practice, or other health-promotion arenas. Students will develop skills to teach yoga and relaxation to diverse populations who can benefit physically, mentally, and spiritually from learning this ancient art of stretching, body postures, and relaxation techniques. This certificate is certified by Yoga Alliance and successful program graduates are eligible for their RYT200 level certification.

What You Will Learn
Upon completion of this program you will be able to:
- Model a holistic view of health that integrates mind-body-spirit in illness prevention and wellness promotion.
- Cultivate professional therapeutic relationships by demonstrating empathy and healing presence, while maintaining healthy boundaries and providing a non-judgmental and welcoming space.
- Demonstrate professionalism, inclusion, and cultural sensitivity when representing yourself, our Integrative Health program, Front Range Community College, and your selected professional field.
- Identify and describe the fundamental similarities and differences between traditional/allopathic, alternative, holistic, complementary, and integrative health medical models.
- Explain the impact of physical and emotional self-care on general well-being, illness prevention, and health maintenance for health professionals as well as clients.
- Describe the impact of stress on health and wellness as well as practice, teach, and/or demonstrate techniques for stress reduction in regards to health management.
- Effectively communicate using appropriate medical terminology, sharing health-related knowledge, and utilizing active listening skills.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, specific skills/techniques, safety protocols, and proficiency in performing/ practicing at least one specific holistic modality.
- Display professional, ethical conduct in accordance with each modality’s Scope of Practice and professional accrediting organization(s) as well as demonstrate integrity in communicating knowledge and applying skills.
- Participate as a member of the Integrative Health Professions as evidenced by the following: involvement in the integrative health field, upholding ethical standards and professional guidelines, integrating knowledgeable, reflective, and critical perspectives on holistic health, sitting for state and/or national certification or credentialing exams, seeking professional affiliation memberships, and engaging in informed advocacy for at least one specified modality.
Classes in Larimer
The holistic health classes meet in Larimer (see map and directions) and at clinical sites in northern Colorado as needed.
Many classes meet once a week and some classes meet on weekends. Some classes are online or “hybrid” (a combination of online and classroom instruction).
Transfer Options
Beyond the Holistic Health A.A.S. degree, you can pursue a bachelor’s degree at some colleges and universities. For example, ask your advisor about the Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Therapeutic Practices at the Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Professional Licensure Disclosure
Students enrolling or continuing at Front Range Community College (FRCC) have a right to certain information that the college must provide by law. As a student applying for or attending the Massage Therapy (MST) Program, you have the right to know it meets the certification and licensure criteria for the State of Colorado. The certificate may count toward licensing or certification in states other than Colorado. Therefore, if you are planning to seek work outside of Colorado, it is strongly recommended that you contact that State’s certifying or licensing entity for guidance before you begin this program. State-by-state information is available from the American Message Therapy Association.
The MST program at FRCC meets the applicable requirements for national testing and the state prerequisites for licensure or certification in Colorado are as listed below:
- The Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB) that administers the national examination: Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx)
- Licensure through Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)
FRCC has not determined if the Massage Therapy Certificate (MST) Program meets applicable state prerequisites for licensure or certification in states other than Colorado; however, the following states do not require specific licensure for Massage Therapy as of 2021: Kansas, Minnesota, Vermont, and Wyoming.
