A 60-year-old man from Sherwood Park, Alta., has been arrested and charged following a sexual assault investigation involving a female youth.
On April 28, RCMP received a report from a girl saying she was sexually assaulted during a massage session at a home massage therapy business.
An investigation was done and Dean Cherneske, 60, was charged with sexual assault.
Cherneske was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on June 15.
RCMP said they couldn’t provide any more details as the case is before the courts. However, they believe there may be other victims and are asking anyone affected to contact Strathcona County RCMP at 780-467-7741 or local police.

On July 22, 2022, Parkland RCMP received a report of a sexual assault that occurred while the victim was receiving a massage at a massage therapy business in Spruce Grove. As a result of the investigation, Parkland RCMP have charged a 26-year-old individual, of Edmonton, with sexual assault.
The individual has been released from police custody with conditions and is set to appear on Aug. 31, 2022, at Stoney Plain Provincial Court. As this matter is now before the courts, no further details surrounding these charges can be provided.
Parkland RCMP believe that there may be additional victims and encourage those individuals to come forward.

A 60-year-old man from the Edmonton region is facing more than a dozen additional charges after RCMP asked others to come forward when a girl reported she was sexually assaulted during a massage session.
That allegation came from a female youth on April 28, Strathcona County RCMP said, and an investigation was launched.
Police told Global News the alleged victims range in age from six to 68 years old, with the two youths being six and 12. RCMP added the alleged complaints were made in 2021 and all came from females.
Dean Cherneske, 60, from Sherwood Park, Alta., was charged with sexual assault in that case.
At that time, RCMP said they believed there were other victims and asked anyone affected to contact Strathcona County RCMP at 780-467-7741 or their local police.

On June 27, RCMP said “as a result of the request to the public for additional victims to come forward, Strathcona County RCMP have identified an additional 13 victims.”
Cherneske has since been charged with 11 more counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual interference.
He has been released from police custody with conditions and is set to appear in court for these charges on June 29.
However, Strathcona County RCMP “continue to believe there may be additional victims and encourage those individuals to come forward.”
RCMP members are working with Victim Services, SAFFRON Centre and Strathcona County to offer “support to those community members affected by traumatic events such as this.”

A St. Albert massage therapist already charged with one count of sexual assault is now facing seven more counts.
Rizaldy Parreno, 45, was initially charged in August. RCMP received an initial complaint in July from a woman who said she had been sexually assaulted during an appointment.
Since then, seven more counts of sexual assault have been laid against Parreno, St. Albert RCMP said in a news release Wednesday.
There could be more victims, police said, and urged any potential victims to come forward.
Parreno has been released from custody with conditions and is set to appear in court Oct. 18.
Peel police say a massage therapist allegedly sexually assaulted a woman while she attended a Brampton clinic on Saturday.
The woman, 40, attended a clinic in the area of Bramalea Road and Sandalwood Parkway where the alleged incident occurred.
Police arrested a 42-year-old man later in the day. Investigators with the Special Victims Unit have charged him with sexual assault.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Brampton on October 3.
