I graduated from the University of Westminster with a BSc (Hons) in Traditional Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture in 2008. After graduating I went to further my studies at Nanjing’s University of Chinese Medicine in China. Here I worked in a variety of hospitals, and was fortunate enough to observe and assist Doctor Tao Kun, a greatly respected and renowned acupuncturist throughout China.
Since returning from China, I practiced in several private clinics in London as well as working with Hoxton Health Group at St. Leonard’s Hospital and the NHS Gateway Clinic treating patients with addictions and HIV. I also set up an award winning multi-bed clinic with a colleague in East London to provide acupuncture at a low cost, making it affordable and accessable for all. I was also the Marketing and Communications Officer for a UK registered charity ‘World Medicine’ for several years. This wonderful charity provides acupuncture to people around the world suffering the effects of trauma, disaster and poverty.
8 years ago I moved to Sheffield with my husband and three daughters and have focused my work by specialising in Oncology and Paediatrics acupuncture through CPD training and a Paediatrics diploma at CICM.
Currently I practice privately at Dronfield Health and Therapy Centre, S18 and 4 Good Health multi-bed clinic in Netheredge, S11 treating both adults and children. I also work for Weston Park Cancer Support Centre treating cancer patients with auricular (ear) acupuncture.
When treating any of my patients, whether they be a newborn baby, teenager or an elderly person, I like to look closely at their diet, lifestyle and emotional well-being to ensure my treatments and advice is tailored towards them as an individual. Everyone is so unique and the beauty of acupuncture is that you never treat anyone the same. As well as acupuncture, I may also use cupping, moxabustion, auricular acupuncture and electro-acupuncture if appropriate for the patient’s condition.
