A few months ago, I stopped drinking coffee. It’s not that I don’t love the morning ritual, it’s that my baseline anxiety is so high I can essentially run on pure adrenaline from the moment I wake up until around 1 a.m., when I will then drift in and out of consciousness mentally reviewing my to-do list for the next day. So the Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Stress Relief Eucalyptus Spearmint Sugar Scrub was first on my to-try list after a particularly stressful day (and a glass or two of wine, but that’s neither here nor there). I really, really wanted it to work, so I went all in. I dimmed the lights, lit candles — whatever I could do to help the process.
When you crack open the jar, the first thing that hits you is the fragrance, and here’s the thing: I love the smell of eucalyptus, and I love the smell of spearmint. Separately. Together, however, they’re a bit like that body-spray-slash-deodorant your high school boyfriend wore. But I’m a firm believer in the power of essential oils, so if the combo of the two scents is going to shave off even 10 percent of my anxiety I will inhale it until I pass out from the fumes or, God willing, drift into deep relaxation. In my defense, the instructions do say to “Breathe deeply for best results.”
The scrub felt great. Every rough patch on my body — knees, elbows — was smoothed by the coarse sugar. It left a bit of an oily film on my body (and all over my tub, so if you live alone and don’t have Life Alert make sure you have something to grab onto when you climb out of the shower), but the oil was absorbed within half an hour and left my skin feeling silky and hydrated — no different from applying body oil after bathing. The smell definitely lingered for a few hours after my shower, but it was actually kind of relaxing while I was drifting off to sleep. Was I able to totally de-stress and find nirvana? No. But I definitely had a much better sense of well-being. My muscles were relaxed and I was able to close my eyes and breathe, if only for a minute or two.

What’s to love?
I love the entire Stress Relief line from Bath & Body Works and the Eucalyptus Spearmint scent is one of my favorites.
This creamy foaming body scrub is really strong and I would recommend smelling it before you buy. I happen to love the Eucalyptus Spearmint scent, to me it’s so relaxing.
The scrub is moderately grit and uses walnut shell powder for exfoliation. It’s also got Jojoba Seed Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Spearmint Oil, Orange Oil, Peppermint Oil and Hydrogenated Caster Oil.
It leave my skin silky smooth and the scent does linger for awhile.

My Experience with Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Eucalyptus Spearmint Stress Relief Body Lotion:
Packaging: Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Eucalyptus spearmint body lotion comes in a heavy green glass bottle. The bottle has a pump on top which dispenses the product. Since the bottle is made of heavy glass, it is not travel friendly. I feel it can be easily broken, so we need to be more careful with the handling of the product. The bottle has leaf graphic design on the front with the name Eucalyptus spearmint. The body lotion claims to relax the nerves and makes you think clearly. The texture of the lotion is in between creamy and liquid.
Fragrance: The body lotion has a strong fragrance of mint and eucalyptus. Since it is used aromatherapy I think they have kept the fragrance strong. I really do love the scent of the body lotion. It really calms my nerves and I feel it makes me more alert.
Lasting Power: The lasting power of the eucalyptus spearmint body lotion is really good. It stays around on my skin for 4 to 5 hours without the need to reapply. I feel energised whenever I sniff the lotion on my skin. The body lotion is good for massaging, it wakes me up from my lethargy. The body lotion moisturises my skin very well. It makes my skin supple and smooth. It gets absorbed quickly without leaving a greasy film. I have an oily skin, so for me the amount of moisture through this product is enough. However if you have a super dry skin then I would suggest you to try the product before purchasing.
I am really enjoying the aromatherapy range of Bath and Body Works more than I anticipated. I feel everyone need to try this range for themselves to know how good it is.
